Classes

We went over chapter one. I assigned ‘pg27p13′ and ‘pg27p16′. I asked you to read (search online) about Soundex and Metaphones. I asked you to skim (not read) chapter 2. We will get into chapter 2 in class on Monday.

Note: You must email the assignment with the correct subject line see syllabus. Also make sure you label each assignment clearly by including the string ‘pg##p#’.

Download from http://www.eclipse.org/.

Install the application.

Run the application.

Select the workspace you would like to work in.

File -> New… -> Project…

Java Project

Next

Enter a project name.

Next

Finish

Right Click on the Project folder

New… -> Class

Enter the name of the class (java class)

Check the ‘public static void main(String [] arg)’ option if this is the main class.

Code away.
